Price the rail design and mounting work.
The rail length, number of brackets, turns and mounting surfaces affect the job. A rail fixed to an existing wall differs from one needing floor-mounted posts. Existing damage may require opening and repairing part of a wall. Ask whether patching, painting and finish matching are included.
Treat garage and outdoor stairs as their own quote.
A garage landing may be tight around a door swing. An exterior stair may need posts, weather-suitable materials and a different fixing method. The indoor starting price does not establish the price of either project. Send the complete entry layout so those differences are included from the start.
